Service Charge

Buildings in multiple occupation or sharing services or areas in common use will usually have a service charge levy imposed on each occupier in order to recover the cost of the services provided.

The provision of services and the calculation and apportionment of service charge is determined by the lease and usually implemented by a managing agent appointed by the developer prior to or during the build process or by the Management Company once the development is complete
